The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools are the two major accreditation boards that monitor medical assisting degree programs. No matter what though, you will most likely be working toward an associate’s degree when you get into school. That will take one to two years to complete.
