About Our Experts: Emerita Tula, CMA; Paloma Walker, CMA

Medical assistantsAs twins they do everything together. Born together, graduated together, they even became medical assistants together. They have over 10 years experience collectively as certified medical assistants. Their experience includes settings such as family practice, internal medicine, mental health, urgent care, and drug testing centers. Although they are actively working in medical office settings, they have turned their attention to using their experience to educate and assist others in the medical assisting field. As your resident medical assistant expert team, they hope to help you on your journey to becoming a successful medical professional.

When they are not writing about medical assisting or working as medical assistants they remain busy! Paloma is currently attending nursing school. She and her husband both work in the medical field. They have a 7 year old daughter who wants to be a doctor when she grows up, and keeps them on the go. Emerita spends her time in other writing endeavors. She enjoys creative writing, and has published articles on medical topics. She enjoys spending time with her husband. They both enjoy time spent regularly volunteering in the community.

Working along side great doctors in a variety of office settings and for a diverse patient demographic has afforded us a wealth of knowledge. They hope to share helpful tips on everything from keeping your doctor happy to ensuring that your patients are well cared for.
